Worried it’s something serious.

Hi Guys,

just wanting some advice and more 'real life examples' of cancer symptoms - as the docs don't have a clue what is wrong with me, but the tests they are carrying out seems to be querying Lymphoma or similar.

I have had chronic hives for 2 months, night sweats varying in severity, a hard lump on my mid inner thigh (not a lymph node), and just generally feeling run down and rubbish.

blood result came back largely normal except slightly  raised LDH and ALT. They have referred me to Haematology who want to see me urgently, and also sent me for X-ray to check for enlarged lymph nodes in chest...

no clue what this all means... can anyone tell me what their symptoms or lymphoma/cancer were? Do you think I should be anticipating something bad?

thanks guys

  • Hi BreaLilli404,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. Firstly I hope it's not too long to wait for your next appointment and any results that follow. I know the uncertainty and waiting for information is never easy.

It will be hard for anyone to advise on your situation and what to potentially expect. Naturally everyone's experiences, symptoms and results are different, so really the best thing to do is to take things one step at a time until you get all the information and results you need.

However if anyone has similar experience to share then hopefully you'll receive further replies here.

As I say, I hope you're able to find out more soon.

Take care and wishing you all the best,

    Ben
