Hi Watty and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry you have had positive FIT test results but if you can, try not to jump to any conclusions or assume the worse. Much easier said than done I know, especially when other members of your family have had cancer, but blood in your poo can be caused by other medical conditions not just cancer.

Many of our members have been in a similar situation so you're not alone and hopefully some of them will be along soon to share their experiences and advice.

In the meantime, I hope these tips on how to cope with waiting will help keep your nerves at bay and that you won't have to wait too long to see the specialist.

Thankyou for your reply , I'm trying to stay focused I'm never a positive person I always assume the worst , but I am trying.  I'm still waiting on my appointment to have a camera but I will keep updating g in here . Xx

i'm so sorry you are in this situation. I had this too, in my early 20's. I was investigated and I had microscopic colitis, flared up from a previous viral infection. The flare up lasted months in terms of blood, stomach ages, changes in movements etc.

I was treated for this and saw a dietician and cut out milk/dairy for a while.

I had a colonoscopy 4 years ago.  All was ok , but should of had follow up and never got sent for.  But there is a big difference to how I am now to then.  Just pray it's all ok xx
