Rectum pain after bowel movement

Hi everyone, i am 48 yrs old male living and working in the UK......the last 2 months was hell for me especially the last 2 weeks, it`s all started with sharp stabbing pain just below the belly button, the pain sometimes is travelling on the left side bellow the belly buton and is there for few minutes especially after meals, like 15 -20 min after every meal , the scary part was on 2 Feb when i saw a quite good amount of fresh blood on the toilet paper and in the stool( i didn`t noticed any other bleeding episode) , since that day i have this annoying dull pain in the back passage and the butt muscle like i was kicked with something and it`s getting worse after bowel movement and  is there for the entire day it never stops, is going down only when i sleep ,and the next day the moment i go to toilet it`s started all over again like an endless nightmare! I noticed that i lost 5kg in the past weeks maybe because i have changed my diet??  ,everyone is telling me that i look pale and skinny,It really affects my job, i can`t concentrate and focus in what i am doing,is really stressfull situation for me. If anyone had or have something similar pls reply here,i really appreciate a bit of help Thank you!

  • Hello nyk

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having some ongoing health concerns over the past few months. It sounds like you're feeling very anxious about things and that's understandable.

You don't mention in your post if you've been to see a GP at all. If not then please do make an appointment to discuss your concerns. If you have already seen the GP, get back in touch with them particularly as things have worsened over the past few weeks.

It's important to remember that there could be any number of causes for the symptom you've been experiencing but your local GP is the best person to get the ball rolling and arrange any appropriate tests and referrals.

Hopefully they will be able to get you on the right path to a diagnosis and things will improve soon.

    Best wishes,
