Neck lump

Hi, I've had a big lump in left sidemy neck since October. It gets bigger when I eat or get stressed. I've had blood tests, normal. Have a scan on Wednesday butSince the end of January I have felt a growth under left side of tongue. It doesn't hurt to swallow but there is pressure there. I have lost 1st 5lbs in 3 weeks and constantly feel nauseous. I have been having chest pains which move down to stomach pains. Have had 2 periods in the last 3 weeks. I'm so scared. My nan has just died of lung cancer, spread to her brainn

    So sorry you are having an awful time. Losing a loved one to cancer is so hard to bear. My late husbands cancer had spread incl spine and brain so I can empathise with you.

    When you have (assume mri) tell the technician about anything thats changed or is new they will take particular attention to these areas and make  note to radiologist who will pass this onto your dr.

    Worth noting that weight loss and menstual cycle upset can go together and that is a considerable loss in 3 weeks.
