ive been having similar issues too. The waiting is horrid isn't it! My scan was postponed but had it last week and thyroid ok. Was supposed to have a biopsy of tongue too but that's this week coming now. 
did they put a camera up nose and down throat too? I was so shocked I had a lump on tongue as like you I get hoarseness and thought it would be my vocal chords. Hope it all works out for you. Looking online isn't a good idea is it really. But it's so hard to get on with stuff when waiting. Virtual hug

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did have the camera put down the nose. The Dr couldn't see anything suspicious so suggested ultrasound. I can't lie on my right side as I can't breathe properly. I just want an answer now as the wait is unbearable. I'm sorry you have been going through a similar issue and I hope that you get some answers this coming week.  Sending big hugs your way 

Our timelines are very similar! It's not long now. Have they booked you for needle aspiration at same time? It will be on your letter. I hope you're not on your own and have someone to talk to - although that's not easy I know. I do understand what you're going through.

I go from one minute thinking it can't happen to me to thinking I may lose my tongue or worse and be disfigured. Your mind just goes crazy doesn't it. I'm just hoping my op won't be postponed again. It's a general anaesthetic - which is good I guess. Right at back of tongue - I never noticed it. Dr forgot to refer me back in summer.

She wasn't very helpful.  I do have someone to talk to but he gets very stressed so I just hold it in and make myself feel even worse going on Google. Yea, I'm going crazy. I just hope it's all ok but my mind automatically thinks the worse. Not long for you to wait now. I hope it doesn't get cancelled again.

Well, there's at least two of us out here! You're not alone. Hopefully all will be well and there will be some explanation for you on Monday. Maybe write a few questions down before you go in. It's hard going on your own because of the covid situation too. There were so many questions I had - when I got home- ! 
Your partner is probably very worried too. Mine has just told me it's the first thing he thinks about when he wakes up and I didn't know that.
