CA-125 - Normal

Hi all,

I have had cysts before on my ovaries and these have never been an issue. My doctor has found a harder one from an ultra sound which is different to before so he has forwarded me onto a gynacologist and done blood tests.

He "thinks" it may just be a complex cyst full of tissue etc which should still be OK but obviously he can't confirm that without more tests.

Blood tests have come back today and all are normal which makes me feel a little better and i am only 34 with no family history of anything like this.

Naturally i am reading up the best i can etc but based on this does anyone here that is a lot more knowledgeable about this be able to advise at all? Would you say it is looking promising at this point?

    Hello Laura1987 and a warm welcome to our forum, 

    It's really good that your doctor is being thorough and carrying out these additional tests. Obviously no one here will be able to tell you what it might all mean as only the medical experts will be able to draw any conclusions from your test results but it is definitely good news that your CA125 test came back normal. 

    Try not to read too much online if you can as it will only make you more confused and rarely gives you reassuring answers. You will hopefully see your gynaecologist soon and I am not sure whether you will be having additional tests other than the blood tests you mentioned but I am keeping everything crossed for you that it all turns out to be fine and confirms what your doctor suspects it is. 

    Hopefully you will hear from other members of the forum who have been in a similar situation before and they will pop by to share their experience with you.
