Hey, not diagnosed however went through very similar experience that just ended yesterday. Two weeks ago I found a palpable lump in my left breast - my doctor said it was not a cyst however she also didn't know what it was. I'm 28 years old, one child. After going to the breast clinic which was very scary and having a biopsy as my lump was deemed a 3 (they use a scoring matrix) which means it was indeterminate as to what it was. They biopsyed the lump and yesterday I was told it is a fibroadenoma - a benign process. This period of time will feel very stressful but one bit of advice I would give you, do not sit and read google- because it will give no reassurance. Bit of background I don't have any history of cancer within my family. Also breast cancer in under 30s is very rare though not impossible I think it makes up only 4% of cases in the UK. Additionally 8/10 lumps found are benign processes. Let me know how you get on and feel free to message me directly xxx

Thank you so much for your reply. That time must of been awfully scary for you!? Did you suffer any health anxiety and just feel like it has to be the worst? I just can't stop thinking about it. I'm relieved everything was okay for you and I hope it remains that way.

I'm trying my best not to Google, but tbh I started to try and find reasons as to why mine couldn't be cancerous to try and make myself feel better, but your right it's only heightened the fear.

Did they let you know on the day of your tests that it was looking okay or did they make you wait for results? Was your lump Rock solid and unmovable? Sorry for all the questions. 

Hey, health anxiety doesn't cover it, I think during my appointment I was sobbing. They didn't tell me much on the day, they said there was nothing overtly suspecious  and that within my age group it would be so rare, but they would still need to biopsy it. They are very good at the breast clinic, if they suspect malignancy or that the lump is in anyway suspecious they will be very open about it. When you go, as them what they rate it. My lump was solid yes and appeared out of no where, I didn't think it was movable personally but they didn't comment on that. Do you have any history of breast cancer (not that it's to important) ? 

I honestky don't blame you for that. Especially as a mum I think we worry more what if for the sake of them. Mine doesn't move and was confirmed by the gp that it doesn't move from the tissue and is xonaiderably large. She mentioned something about breast lobule but I didn't really take in very much. There is no history in my family although there has been a few scares. Tuesday just can't come quick enough, Its the wait and uncertainty that's the worst. I think I'll be able to cope better when I have some kind of idea. How does the point system work?
