2 weeks ago my 86yr old mum saw the GP with what she thought was a uti. The GP thought it was a bit more than that and sent her to A&E.
After a scan it seems there's an ovarian cyst which has been pressing on her bladder.
We were seen by the consultant yesterday and shown the scan. The cyst is 17cm x 13cm. She's on the list for surgery in April for a hysterectomy... I'm pleased she's been seen so quickly, but also worried that it's been this quick because it could well be cancerous - they say they won't know until its removed and tested... right now she's quite positive, was wondering if anyone has had anything similar?
