Lumps in neck.

I noticed middle of January a lump in my neck. A little kidney bean shaped. No pain or any issues. Doctors said my tonsils seem a little red and I'd had a horrible cough for 2 weeks and it was probably a swollen gland. Did say to go back in 2 weeks if no improvement. 

I noticed a few days after a big soft lump at the other side and now a couple more kidney bean shaped lumps. I've been taking ibuprofen as I've had neck pain and my jaw has been tender and theyve not reduced. (I do suffer with anxiety and with this lingering I wouldn't be shocked if the pains were from anxiety jaw clenching etc). I feel my chest throat is tight too but I think that could be an anxiety thing. 

I'm going to go back to doctors this week and obviously discuss more lumps have appeared and the pain. I'm absolutely heartbroken at the thought of it being something serious. I've no other symptoms like sweating or fevers. However I am feeling quite fatigued,  more than usual.

My partner keeps suggesting it's just stress but the more I read the more it seems like something more serious.

    I'm sorry to hear that you've been unwell recently and that you've noticed some lumps in your neck. It's good to know that you've already seen your GP once and that you're planning to see them again this week. 

    There could be many causes for the symptoms that you've been experiencing but your GP will be best placed to support you and arrange any appropriate tests or referrals. 

    I do hope that you have some reassurance about things soon.

    I've been given antibiotics to try and reduce any infection that it could be. I've had more swollen glands pop up. Gp examined and said they could potentially feel more behind my ear and in my armpit. 

    They've ultimately put it down to stress and anxiety. 

    However I'm only this anxious because I keep feeling little kidney bean lumps in my neck. 

    They're doing bloods this week but I feel quite gutted nothings been taken seriously and mental health is being blamed.

    hi charem214.  i,m no   expert   ,  but  it  could be  your  lymp glands.  there  a  a few   in the  neck area.   do you  get   a  type  of   lockjaw.   when yawning

    Yes, one came up 4 weeks ago, probably due to infection. Then 3 at the other side of my neck. I've had antibiotics but they've not gone down.
