I'm sorry to hear that you're attending the breast clinic at the moment for some checks on a lump that you've recently found. It's understandable that you may be feeling anxious about things. 

If I'm understanding your post correctly then you've been given an appointment for a follow-up ultrasound in 6 weeks' time and you've now received another appointment with the Consultant a week later. 

Given that you have a date for the ultrasound it makes sense that the clinic would book you an appointment for the results, particularly if your ultrasound appointment is just for that scan and not to see the Consultant that same day. I'm sure they will want to make sure that they can give you as much clear information as they can and to hopefully put your mind at rest at the follow-up.

Gosh I practically could have written this post- going through an extremely similar experience. I had an appointment at the breast clinic yesterday regarding lumps in my armpit. I had some pain in my armpit a few weeks ago and noticed a lump. Felt smaller ones since.
I had an ultrasound yesterday and was told they were all normal apart from one enlarged and misshapen one. Consultant wasn't happy to wait and see as I'd noticed mine over 4 weeks ago by the time of yesterday's appointment and so did a biopsy. She suspected mine were linked to the covid vaccine too. I first noticed them 4 weeks after my booster. How long ago is it since you had your vaccine? I can't even remember if it was the same arm.  She told me they're seeing lots of incidents of  enlarged lymph nodes in the armpit area linked to covid and the vaccines. Praying that's what is! Prior to yesterday's appointment I thought the biggest had actually got a lot smaller- although my current anxiety levels are making me doubt this! Hoping to get biopsy results back by the end of the week. 
 

I'd be really assured by the fact the consultant is reviewing it in 6 weeks time. They don't leave things to chance so be reassured by that. 
 

Perhaps give the hospital a call regarding the two appointment letters you have received- I'm sure there's a logical explanation.

that sounds extremely similar to what I am going through! That's good that they have done a biopsy so at least you can put your mind at rest, I really wish they'd done one when I had my appointment too. He said they'll do a biopsy when I go back if it's still enlarged but it's such a long time to wait and I'm driving myself mad! 

my vaccine was at the end of December and like you it was a few weeks later that I noticed the lump which made me think it can't be that, surely it would have appeared straight away and gone by now but the consultant just didn't seem concerned and was adamant it was the vaccine. Mine also seem to be shrinking but then when I feel again they feel like they've gone back up again
