Hi,

I wondered if anyone here had experience with biopsy results and could lend some advice...

Found a lump back in Jan and was told to wait until after my period to be seen. Fast forward to last week I was sent to the breast clinic where a scan found something the sonographer wasn't happy with and I had to have a biopsy there and then. I was told i would then get the results via telephone in a week (Wednesday 16th Feb expected). I have since had confirmation of a f2f appointment booked as routine for 23rd Feb but told I will still be called this Wednesday. 

Does anyone know if it is standard practise give good or bad news over the phone. I have no telephone  appt booked for Wednesday but if there is the possible of just getting a call at any point in the morning with bad news I want to make sure I am working from a location where I can just up and leave to take that sort of call.  
 

i know it is a lot of what ifs at the moment, but would feel a lot more organised if i knew what time i was due to expect the call  

if they won't give me bad news over the phone i suppose it doesn't matter where I am but i just want to see whether i would be better taking the day off and waiting for this call on wednesday or not
