Scared I have cancer

I'm 25 years old, for the last 3-4months I have been having night sweats which started occasionally but it now pretty much every night, requiring me to have to get up and change as it's soaking (sorry if TMI). I have also lost some weight without trying (previously it has been very hard for me to lose weight). I wake up every morning with a headache across my forehead and sometimes nausea. I am exhausted to the point I could continuously sleep for 12+ hours and then nap through the day. At work I sleep on my breaks just to function. I've found a small lump under my armpit, one under my colloarbone and in my breast. I have also had some unusual breast discharge which hasn't happened before. I have a doctors appointment next week and I'm so anxious. I have no relevant past history and am not pregnant.
Any suggestions as I can't get it out my mind?

  • I'm guessing that you started noticing it, and it has been increasing in frequency? My best bet would be that you had an infection, which was causing your body to go into overdrive at night, causing the night sweats, and over time you became stressed about it, leading to more night sweats! It's a very common symptom of stress, but you shoudl absolutely get the lumps checked out, under your armpit and under your collar bone, those could both be bones, lipomas or swollen lymph nodes! However your doctor will absolutely know more than me! I'm 21 and had a cancer scare recently, but given our age, the numbers are very, very much on our side, so try not to worry, and please keep us updated on how you're getting along, especially after your appointment with the doctor!

Take care and good luck, Katie!
