Ovarian cancer or ovarian endometriosis?

Hello hello!
I'm 38 (not menopausal) and have been having bloating, night sweats, pelvic pain, swollen lymph nodes. extreme tiredness for over a year now, I only mentioned to my GP in passing and she's requested blood tests. Everything happened quick, I had high CA 125 levels show up, the number was 59 > and low white blood cells but nothing else worrying.
she's got me to do x-ray (all clear) and internal ultrasound that showed a small fibroid 2cm, polycystic ovaries and endometriosis inside one of them.
I'm awaiting for next weeks consultation with specialist but feel a bit lost as in what will happen now and if there is a way to check if these results are 100% accurate.

have anyone been in this scenario?!
thanks in advance everyone

  • I have had ovarian cyst found during a colonoscopy, went to oncology clinic l was examined and sent for mri scans, they were complex and did not shrink, my surgeon listed me for surgery and 3 months later l had both overies removed unfortunately I had lots of adhesions due to previous surgery, lt took longer than expected but lm glad l have had it done as the biopsies were benign! I am past the menopause and my overies should have shrunk away,

l hope you have a good appointment and outcome

  • Hi Susie, thanks for sharing your story! So glad they were benign and that you are better now. I wouldn't want my ovaries to be removed just yet as we are trying for a baby. We have stopped the process now and just waiting and hoping.
Have a lovely weekend and thank you
