Swollen lymph nodes

Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing really weird symptoms that are kinda all over the place.

Swollen Lymph nodes -  first noticed 3 months ago - doctor said to come back if they dont dissapear after 6 weeks - they didn't - I have swollen lymp nodes in my neck, groin and last week noticed some under my left collar bone - none of them are painful to touch however - the one in my neck makes my neck feel swollen and heavy, I have difficulty swallowing saliva especially scary when Im going to sleep and I keep choking, however strangely I can eat and drink as normal- sleeping on my chest helps relieve the pressure from my neck - I only noticed the lymp nodes under collar bone due to pain in my left arm, it feels like my arm is being weighted down and the nerve is being pulled from my neck down to my left arm, often I'd get shooting nerve pains in my neck with pulsating sensation generally all over the neck.

I had a sinus infection and I have nasal polyps, first I was suspecting nasal drip causing my problems swolling, but after receiving antibiotic treatment I can breathe as normal but still can't swollow due to my neck feeling so swollen.

I did have a chest scan done due to chest pain and shortness of breathe and scan of cervial spine due to severe headaches. I had covid before but I am now fully vacccinted, however since being sick my general health went downhill.

After my bloods coming back clear and scans I did some googling and some of my symptoms appear consistent with lymphoma? Can anyone share their experience? Especially having gone through covid- could this be one of the long term side effects?

  • Hello user900 and a big welcome to Cancer Chat,

I am sorry that you have been experiencing all these odd symptoms. I hope that you've managed to go back to your doctor about this as the swollen lymph nodes haven't disappeared after six weeks. Your GP will be in the best position to advise you and to tell you whether this could be linked to you having gone through covid.

It's best to stay away from Google if you can as it only tends to bring the worst possible scenarios so try not to believe what Google has told you and discuss your fears and concerns with your GP instead.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
