I posted weeks ago about symptoms for bowel cancer.
I was urgently referred to Gastro but they haven't seen me yet.
Few days ago I was having horrendous pain and after a few days not having a bowel movement I ended up going to A&E with the pain and temperature.
Got sent to the Surgical emergency and ended up having a CT scan. They have found that my bowel was impacted, and enlarged. But have also found that my Ovaries are enlarged and somehow pressing on my bowel wall. They didn't say anything else, just that I would be referred to gynae but also needed a colonoscopy.
The day after I received a call from Gastro to book my appointment and a call today from Gynae saying I need to have an urgent IV ultrasound.
I'm panicking, and not sure what this could all mean.
Do ovarian issues cause bowel cancer symptoms? I dont have any bleeding or anything that could point to ovarian cancer. Was just completely surprised by this.
It's been almost a year insisting with GP and now I'm at a loss as to what to think. I am incredibly grateful that I'm finally being seen, but also a bit concerned about the urgency of it all.
