Ca125 - been waiting 15 weeks for CT scan. Worried

Hi all 

well im a very strong person and deal with things as they come along but this ca125 has really got to me, my doctor ordered so many urgent scans and test I started to feel like a pin cushion, very grateful to her, but after seeing the last doctors she wants me to have a tc scan on my ovaries but she write this in the letter THIS IS A TUMOUR MARKER LEVEL CALLED CA125a I keep doing is repeating this to myself. My doctors referrals was all dealt with with in a week, but this scan I've been waiting 15 weeks could cry just wrote here to get that off my chest hate worrying family

    I'm sorry to hear that you've been waiting so long for the appointment, I can understand this must be worrying and unsettling, and I know the waiting is never easy. I'm not sure if you were given a timescale by the doctor in which you should expect the appointment. If you feel you've been waiting longer than estimated, then there is no harm in calling the doctor or the hospital to check and see what they say.

    15 weeks is too long surely.  I know how busy they are but that is a long time - could your GP chase?  I know it is all regional but I went to see my consultyant about high CA125 and she booked a CT scan and it was the following week.  

     

    Good luck and don't be afriad to chase.
