Thank you for your reply.  I received a letter from the consultant today that details the whole thing better.  I've got a 4.6 left suprarenal mass.  It could be related to my renal gland (does he mean adrenal gland?) or an exophytic lesion from the upper pole of the left kidney.  

I'm hoping its the gland one as that sounds less bad.

I'm getting a CT scan of the chest, abdomen and pelvis.

Hi just wondering how your appointment went? I know how scary this all is!

I had the CT Scan today with contrast.  I won't find out anything until the results are back though.  From the blood test my kidneys are functioning ok. which is good.

did you need a biopsy to determine it was benign and was the biopsy fairly straightforward?
