Breast clinic screening

Hi,

I have found a lump in my breast which my GP felt and confirmed was around 4-5cm. Gp done an urgent referral for a mammogram.

Can someone give me an idea on how long the wait time is for this in the west of Scotland. The gp said 7-10 days for an appt?

Also I'm 28, worried I won't be taken seriously when I attend the clinic for a mammogram due to my age?

Hi I'm in Lanarkshire and waited 5 weeks for my appointment but I think that was due to it possibly not being marked as urgent as my GP thought it would be nothing. I had a dimple which she couldn't see and when examined she couldn't feel anything.
I ended up getting seen at Forth Valley as they are taking referrals from Lanarkshire when they have space. The staff at the clinic were very good and put me at ease. They definitely will take you seriously. Take care and all the best.
