Pain and difficulty swallowing, pressure in throat.

Hi everyone,

Just looking for advice please as I have had throat issues going on for nearly 10 months now and I'm worrying constantly.

Symptoms:

Difficulty swallowing, painful swallowing, pressure in lower part of throat, a small rubbery lump in the front of my neck, when I'm lying down or breathing through my nose I feel like my airway is obstructed and my throat is dry, my voice feels weak and strained.

I have had a camera down throat in June 2021 and nothing was seen, however the symptoms are getting worse.

Has anyone got experience of this? I'm so worried.

  • I'm sorry about the symptoms you've been contending with LittleMiss82 and for the worry they're causing.

As you've mentioned they're getting worse it would be best to go back to your GP (if you haven't already done so) as they'll be able to investigate and let you know what happens next.

Hopefully your symptoms are not a sign of anything sinister but it's always good to get any persistent symptoms checked, if only for peace of mind.

I'm sure some of our members will share their thoughts, advice and experiences with you soon but in the meantime, we're thinking of you and have our fingers crossed everything will be o.k.

    Kind regards,
