  • Hello Tom7777

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently found a lump. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things. It's good to hear that you've already seen your Gp and are now waiting for an ultrasound. Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the appointment and they will be able to give you some reassurance.

In the meantime, I'm going to tag in [@Josh_hereforyou]‍. Josh is a member who I know has been through the process of diagnosis and treatment for testicular cancer and is happy to chat with others about his experience and offer any support that he can. Hopefully, he will pop along soon so say Hi!

Keep in touch Tom and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,

Hi Tom ,just reas your post and your bound to be anxious and worried on finding your lumo.

It may not be sinister, but if it does turn out to be testicular cancer, you've done the right thing in getting it checked our,as catching it early is a good thing.

My son waa diognoses with testicular cancee ,he had scans etc. He waa 34 nearly 35 .it did apreS to his stomach 5cm tumour, his chest 3cm tumour  and he had a spot on his lung.

He  had testicke removed, and was then  sent to a hospital London  where he spent weekends from Friday to Mindays having chemotherapy.  In all he had 267hrs of chemotherapy, with three weeks off in between going to hospital again for the weekends and chemotherapy.  He wA great he sailed through it witj only small side effects.

That was in 2020,the chemotherapy shrunk all the tumours  and hus bloid markers were Checked every so often, and he is doing so well ,yes he did lose hus hair, but it grew back quickly.  He waa very positive  throught all.of thus and im sure it helped with his recovery.

My son will be 37 the middle of this month, and he even run a marathon touraine over £5,000 for cancee research as he wanted to give something back ,for all the lovely people, that may need treatments like he did.

I do hope you get good news, but if it turns our to be cancer,it isn't a death sentence ,treatments have come a long way, and im.sure you will beat it just like my son has. Obvously you are checked and moniteed for 5 years after diognoses.  I hope  this helps put your mind at ease,do let us know how things go .
