Good evening all

I know we are not doctors, but just after some advise or hearing from people that have been in similar situations. 

I'm male, 30yrs old. 

So 8 months ago, a starting getting quite bad pain in my left tonsil (not sore, but ached). If its not my tonsil it's near that area. this would last a day or so and just dissappear. I would then get a new symptom of pain deep in the left of my throat/neck, can't tell which. My throat is not sore. Then this dissapears, and the pain would be below my adams apple. This comes and goes. Sometimes the pain radiates into my jaw. All symptoms are in the left side. Sometimes I have days with no symptoms, but this has been going on for so long now.

My left gland is up on my neck, and have also just found a lump below my adams apple and at the base of my neck, about an inch above my collar bone. All on left side. 

I am getting on occasion, heartburn/acid reflux. There always seems to be a lump/phlegm at the top of my throat which gives me the need to try and swollow it. 

I also have discomfort swollowing sometimes. 

I have been to see a doctor twice. The first time, they gave me tablets for reflux. This did not work.

The second time the doctor simply didn't know what was going on, but told me not to worry as I'm only 30. He said he would arrange a gastroscopy to rule anything out and to put my mind at ease. 

I arrive for the procedure after 2 months of waiting, only to not be able to go through with it due to anxiety. I have now been booked in for a barium swollow in a further 2 months.

I'm just so worried that if this is something sinister, that this will be too long with symptoms. I can't seem to stop googling which I know I shouldn't.

Note: doctors did not notice 2 of the lumps. I have only just noticed them.

Just looking for any similar stories maybe, or just something to put my mind at ease. I'm going to phone the doctor on Monday and explain my concerns.
