Enlarged Lymph Nodes

So ever since i was about 13/14 years old i have had this really sharp stabbing pain in my lower right abdomen. But every time i saw the doctor they pretty much said it was nothing and 6 years down the line i have had a CT scan and blood test and they say i have enlarged lymph nodes in my spleen and some glands. They have now put me on the cancer pathway. I keep searching google and it really is starting to scare me. All saying it is some form of abdominal lymphoma. But i never have any other symptoms of lymphoma of any sort. Only the abdominal pain. Could it possibly be something mimicking lymphoma? or even an entirely different disease of some sort?

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

I am sorry to hear about how much this has been worrying you.Try not to believe anything you have read when looking things up on Google as Dr Google is famously unreliable and will only make you more anxious. It's good you have had this CT scan and even though it is scary to be on the cancer pathway, it doesn't mean it is necessarily cancer and you will only know what you are dealing with once you have had the results from your CT scan. There are so many other things it could be but only the experts will be able to tell you more once they have the full picture after seeing your scan.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. Try keeping busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment though.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.
