Swollen lymph glands

Hi I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on this as I seem to of hit a brick wall with my GP - I have a swollen lymph gland in my left armpit, right side of neck and a few smaller ones in my right groin....they have been there now for 6 weeks, I have had an ultrasound of which they said they can't see anything sinister so back to GP bloods have now shown a high level (1433) of B12 and I have pain in my back and hips (not muscular as comes and goes with no real pattern) sharp pain above left hip and now flu like symptoms that come and go (can go to bed feeling like I've got flu coming and wake up fine the next morning) and permanently tired - doctor has pretty much washed their hands of me but I'm feeling pretty awful most of the time and tired of feeling like I'm just being a nuisance to my doctor....any suggestions?

  • Hello Liltiss01

I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling unwell for the past few weeks. It's understandable that you're feeling as you've described.

It's good to hear that your GP has already requested some investigations and that nothing of any immediate concern has been picked up on.

As things haven't improved and you had an abnormal blood result it's certainly worth getting in touch with your GP for a further appointment. If you don't feel happy with the GP that you've seen previously I wonder if you're able to ask to see another GP in the surgery?

I know it can be frustrating when you feel unwell for a prolonged period of time and don't feel heard. Do keep in touch with your GP surgery as they are best placed to arrange any appropriate tests or referrals.

I hope that things improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
