Mark on breast that looks like a finger mark

I check my breasts regularly and also look through the mirror.

I noticed last week a mark that almost looks like a finger print

called gp and got a appt same morning.

took a photo so I knew she was seeing what I could see also noticed sometimes when I'm laid down my opposite nipple lays down and the skin around almost looked twisted again took photo of this.

when I showed her both photos she did say that doesn't look normal.

can I look at them with my own eyes. So she did and had a little touch said they both looked perfect and nothing to worry about. I asked can you see what I'm seeing and what is in photo. She said no and did I believe my photo or her own eyes as a Gp.

went on to ask about my periods and when I told her I was bleeding too frequently and had pains she straight away referred me to a gynaecologist as she couldn't see to give me an internal as said I looked like I had falling in vaginal wall.

I didn't want referring to there I wanted my boob worries to be checked.
the mark is still there should I keep an eye on it and if it worsens insist on been seen by somebody else.

or shall I just take her word for it.

in all my years of checking I've never once been to the gp because I've noticed anything so this is obviously different for me

  • I'm glad you got your appointment through, but I know exactly what you mean. I was the same all the way up to my appointment! I hope it comes around quickly for you and it's good news! In the meantime try to keep busy and do whatever you can to distract yourself from it. I know if you're anything like me it will be on your mind a lot of the time, but it will soon be here. I know it's hard not being able to take someone with you for support too. Wishing you the best of luck x

  • Thank you it is but what can I do if I'm q mess on the day I'm a mess they will have to deal with it

  • I'm going to call the doctors this morning and ask for an appointment with a different GP as I can still see the dent and if I run my finger over can feel the soo too.

thinking maybe I should ring with a marker pen so they see the place I mean. My husband struggled to see but can feel the dip and said he has never felt it before.

I have checked and looked at my boobs regularly since my 20s and I'm now 43 so I know this isn't normal for me.

  • Went back to gp she had a good feel around this time and said she was completely certain all was fine.

she said she would be able to feel a lump or tissue alteration if it was a worry.

I asked what the dent was and why did I have pain that I have never had before, and she had no answer but said if it was. A worry there would be a lump.

I didn't know that was correct and told her she wasn't reassuring me at all. She did do a referral and I have a appointment at breast clinic in the 23rd.

  • Hi

Was just wondering what the result was- have found a similar mark and very concerned! Will book to see a doctor tomorrow.
