Endoscopy on Wednesday and worried it OC

So, I'm getting myself all worked up. Mid October I started with excessive burping. Seen by my GP 3 times, abdomen and throat palpated and fine. Bloods also fine.

Approximately 4 weeks ago I noticed food catching in my throat every now and again and I panicked. Saw my GP again who prescribed high dose PPI and sent an urgent ENT referral.

My mam passed away from OC in 2020 so obviously I'm really worried. I ended up emailing another one of my GPS to discuss my symptoms and he really wasn't happy. He sent a 2ww referral for Endoscopy.

The endoscopy is scheduled for Wednesday and although I'm relieved I'm getting checked out, I'm also petrified as to what they'll find. Some times I can be really calm and focused and then other times I panic and worry about my little boy.

I've seen what OC can do to someone and it scares me so much.

Sorry to go on, I have great family support I just don't want to worry them.

Thanks to whoever takes the time to read this ️

  • Hi Tricia,

No need to apologise as it's completely understandable why you're worried about this but hopefully the endoscopy will be able to provide some answers and peace of mind too.
