I turned 51 last December but wondered when I supposed to go for my first screening, or do I need to initiate it?

Welcome to Cancer Chat. You'll automatically get an invite for your screening (via a letter in the post), at some point between the ages of 50 and 53. There is some more info on the NHS website about this.
