Ive just seen your post and wanted to respond

I had a lump come up on my neck about 4 years ago in my neck.  I was referred to ENT but went privately as it was quicker and i was so scared of what it could be.   The consultant felt all around my neck and said it was a shoddy lymph node.  Sometimes i can feel it very clearly other days im hard push to find it.   

My friend had the same  with pain but she had a scan on the same day.  Try not to worry or google as it can be many things other than cancer.  I googled so much and was convinced it was sinister.  I recently had a referral to the breast clinic and again i googled and my anxiety went through the roof, but again it was inflammation of my breast bone and antibiotics  cleared it up.

Hiya! Sorry to hear about your situation, I'm going through something very similar too. I found mine almost 2 years ago just under my chin, right in the middle. I went to the doctors when I found it and he told me I just had health anxiety.
I can't figure out whether its hard or not either, so I know what you mean. It also depends on the angle of my neck.
I have an ultrasound on Monday as I wasn't happy with the doctors answer.
