Dry skin and white bumps on areola

Hi there.

I've already been the the doc about this, and she said "seems normal, you probably just haven't noticed it before"!  But that was over a month ago, and there's been no improvement.  I have a patch of dry skin (not really itchy) on my areola and white bumps sprinkled around too, which I've never seen there before   A friend did suggest they are something called "montgomery glands"?  But after looking about what they are, I'm more confused as there's no chance whatsoever that I could be pregnant.

Yeah.  Trying my best to not freak out.  Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

  • Hi Flibbertigibbet,

It's good to hear the doctor didn't seem concerned although if this was a new symptom you noticed then I appreciate it perhaps wasn't too helpful. It's hard to advise on what this could be - the only thing to really do is to speak to the GP again to try to get an answer. If you're uncomfortable seeing the same GP again, you can ask to see someone different in order to get a second opinion.

    Wishing you all the best,
