IBC worries

For about 5 weeks or so my left breast has been in abit of pain and has been since my last period (sorry )..I then started to notice a few lumps..itchy breast and swelling on left side of my left breast..ive been to my doctors last week..ive been referred to breast clinic at hospital an hospital phoned me the next day with an appt on the 4th feb..like everyone says I hope it is nothing to worry about but I was just wondering if anyone else has same symptoms an if you have had a diagnosis of IBC or not..I have kids an can't stop thinking about it..many thanks

    Hi there

    I was in your boat for last few weeks. I didn't have any lumps but I had pain and definite swelling plus some small marks had appeared

    Was referred to breast clinic and had my appointment yesterday. Was told there were no concerns after examination and scan of the breast. They couldn't reply explain why I was having pain or the swelling only that it wasn't IBC which was my big fear

    Hiya..I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing these symptoms..I'm so glad you got good results obviously apart from the reason why you had the pain and swelling but fantastic that it's not IBC..it still is really worrying though isn't it when symptoms normally lead to the big C..I've been getting some dull aching pain in my right shoulder and neck..do you think this could be related as it is my left breast with the lumps and swelling? I'm sorry to ask you..I just don't know what to believe in Google (I normally believe everything)

    Of course. I've been having really bad neck and shoulder pain myself but my doctor swears its completely unrelated and is muscular. When we worry we can't help but link these things but I do believe it's a separate issue after getting my results.

    I have a 4 year old daughter so I completely understand your panic. I had a full blown meltdown at the breast clinic before I was even seen, convinced I was going to get bad news. 

    I have everything crossed for you that it all goes well with your appointment. I know its easier said than done but try not to worry too much in advance, IBC is still super rare xx
