Hpv and borderline, waiting for colposcopy

I'm new to this forum and looking for some reassurance. 
I'm 25 with a 4 month old baby, I think having a baby has made me so anxious in this situation. 
Last week I had a call and a letter on the same day telling me I have a colposcopy appointment. It said hpv positive and borederline changes. 
In my late teens I had unexplained bleeding after sex and it wasn't really investigated, it was apparently due to hormones. I am now worried this has something to do with it as this was my first smear. My appointment is in 2 weeks. Can anyone advise what will happen during/after the colposcopy. Would they tell me immediately if they saw anything of great concern.

    Hello Anxiousmumma25 and welcome to our forum, 

    It's totally understandable that having had a baby recently you feel really anxious in this situation. Try not to worry though as having borderline changes is something that is treatable. You can find out more about what it means to have abnormal cervical cells on this page.

    I hope that your appointment goes well. Do mention to them that you had this bleeding in your late teens and ask whether they think this might be related but I wouldn't worry too much about this.

    Thank you for your reply. I found the information really useful. I had the colposcopy today, they did a biopsy and just said I should hear back within 3 weeks. They didn't say much else. I'm going to stay off google for now and just wait patiently x
