                          as you are finding out,the bowel is a very complex piece of plumbing that we take for granted when its working ok,but once it goes out of kilter it tends to have a knock on effect with other issues developing,and thats before increased stress joins in to make matters even worse.

l had a  gall bladder removed,bowel resection,stoma,and then rejoined,and have "enjoyed" but not appreciated all of the issues you have raised over a six year period,Itching is a close companion at times,wiping too hard and too frequent will get you there, the lumps will arise very quickly from this as well. l looked into adding a small handheld spray onto my toilet as an alternative to tissue,they do not cost much and can easily be fitted.The mucous can be caused by constipation,and compaction in the bowel can be painful.

Its good you are getting things checked out,but its easy to be dsrawn in to thinking the worst,and with stress you can trigger the mind to gut scenario making matters worse,
