Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me as I'm stuck. 
 

Two years ago I developed a large blue/black spot on the palate of my mouth. They cut it out but there wasn't enough of the biopsy to determine what exactly it was. They explained that there was signs of proliferation. They said they would monitor it and if it ever did come back (they didn't think it would) then they'd have to put me under general anaesthetic and cut a chunk out.

Two years later, there is a new blue spot above where they took it out along with another blue spot beside it. They've just said they will monitor it. But I can't understand why it's growing in size as well as number. These patches are not raised and are very close to the roof of my mouth. 
 

Does anyone have any insight on this please? Thank you
