Sorry to hear that you have been going through all of this. It's not easy and the waiting is the worst thing try not to google sometimes it is misleading. The nurses at the breast clinic are really helpful and they are really up to date with the current treatment in their hospital. The scans and biopsies will have the results soon when are you going back? Biopsies were taking 10/14 days a while ago to get back to the clinic but Covid is not helping due to sickness in the labs. 
Try to relax and and keep busy not easy l know, talk to your family and friends as sharing worries can put them in their place and others can give you distractions. 
Take others experience with a pinch of salt as we are all different, take care and let us know how you get on .

Sorry to hear what you are going through as it is an awful time and the thoughts that go through your head are just uncontrollable and you can't help but let your mind wander.

The Breast Clinic Team are really helpful, understanding and patient.

I am 47 and had my first mammogram over 3 years ago now and it is very daunting, I had my first biopsy at that time too, so it is scary waiting to hear back.

The marker that they insert is to help them going forward, it means that in the future when you have mammograms and ultrasounds, it is like sticking a flag in it, that they have been there before.... It shows them that they have found this before and investigated it. And should it be any sinister they can go back and find it again easily.

When you see the consultant first, they have a good feel and then send you to have your mammogram, once the technician has done your mammogram, the consutlant looks at, they then send you in to have your ultrsound. I believe that if they see nothing of any note that they don't send you in for an ultrasound. (But I do not know how true that is, as the three mammograms I have had I have always had an ultrsound after)

So far I have been in with a Cyst to have popped and they found a lump near my cyst which turned out to be a fibroadenoma, and then back in because of a lump I felt in my right breast and they had an incidental finding of Cancer in my left breast!!

Once we know something is going on with our breasts we worry and the first thought can be oh no cancer, but from what they have found with me so far, it does mean that.. there are all manner of other things it could also be.

I too went in on Tuesday and had a biopsy. Had a letter today to say a phone call in two weeks. I'm not coping very well. When is your appointment?

My next mammogram is due 15 February l have had to cancel the October one due to gynaecology surgery which became a much more involved procedure than expected 4 1/2 hours of surgery removing adhesions. It's taking a while to heal but I think it's nearly there. I have had lots of breast surgery due to duct exctasia dilated inflamed milk ducts, The reduction that took half the breast tissue to remove as much of the ducts as possible has been really good, it's solved the yearly trip to theatre having another duct removed. I hope you have your results soon and and a good result. Lots of biopsies show inflammation
