How long are you all waiting for biopsy results ?

Hello,

I had a smear test in mid October, results came back as abnormal so had a colposcopy on Dec 14th and a biospy was taken. I'm still waiting for results, they said it would be after Christmas but feels like a long time now. Just wondering if this is typical at the moment. I have previously had breast cancer, although I'm fairly sure the two things are not linked.

Hi Vickieb,
I'm sorry to hear you've had such a long wait to get your results. I know that the waiting and uncertainty is always difficult.
The usual expected wait time for biopsy results is around 2-3 weeks, but unfortunately at the moment things can be a bit slower. If you've still not received any updates, it might be worth giving the hospital a call to check how things are going - whether there are any updates and if not when you should expect to hear more.
