Breast Clinic Appt Tomorrow

Hi all

Finally, after finding my breast lump almost 5 weeks ago, my breast clinic appointment is almost here. I'm so nervous on so many levels & it feels like an eternity since I discovered my lump. 
 

My appointment isn't until 3:40pm so I'm really worried that it's going to be a quick in & out with more of a wait for further tests should they be needed. To those who have recently had their breast clinic appointments, was it a one stop shop thing or did you have to go back for ultrasounds, mammograms or biopsies? I'm due to have major surgery 5 weeks today for a non-related issue & I just really hope tomorrow is it.

    I am sure someone more knowledgable than me will reply, but I just wanted to let you know what happened at my appointment.

    the breast clinic I attended was a one stop shop. I had a breast examination first, followed quickly by a mammogram, then ultrasound and biopsy, I met with the consultant before leaving. I was there about 1 1/2 hours. Is it worth maybe ringing them to ask what will happen at your appointment just so you know what to expect? From reading posts on here I can see that the clinics seem to vary in what they offer.

    Terrible you've had to wait so long for your appointment

    Mine is tomorrow too but 8.15am. Scared and not feeling positive it will go well. my husband thankfully is very supportive and positive so at least one of us is!

    Joll did your letter say anything about how long you might be. Mine said 4 hours and I know if they could have done the ultrasound that day they would.

    Thanks Vegmum & very best of luck to you too. I honestly don't know how I feel, I go from one extreme to the other. Tomorrow can't come soon enough, feels like an eternity!
