Hope your ok, when is your appointment?

Yea I have been referred have a telephone triage appt tomorrow when they will book me in for further testing. My gp said my results were very high and she expects a colonoscopy and ct scan. She said if no ct she would refer me again under ovarian for a ct scan but that the ovarian markers were high but not as high as the bowel which was very high.

I don't know what it all even means! I guess it's not time to worry until we have something to worry about!

Just wondering did either of you have bad wind, indigestion and stomach noises? I am full of wind constantly. It's really worrying me as I can't eat anything. 
I haven't had bleeding apart from a trace a month ago but my stools are looser and unpredictable. 
it's all so worrying and the waiting doesn't help especially when you're an anxious person!

i have had the feeling and pain of trapped wind but find it hard to get rid of can only burp really, and even if I do the pain will still be there so it isnt relived as trapped wind usually is once expelled. 
 

Have you been to the Drs? You should if you are worried.

I went in December & was referred for a pelvic scan to check ovaries. That was clear but radiologist said bowels full of gas & to get checked. Went to doc again & now having apt with specialist tomorrow eve, got a cancellation luckily. I'm very very worried. Is excess wind and indigestion and bowel cancer symptom? The pressure in my rectum and my back pain are defo concerning me. I just am an anxious mess to be honest. 

As far as I am aware no they are not symptoms but I am no expert of course. Anything could be causing it. Good luck at your appointment let me know how it goes. 

Again, no expert, but as I mentioned on the other thread, when I asked about that symptom specifically, the doctor said the possibilities were stress, sinus problems and gallbladder problems. He didn't even mention cancer and he knew I had other symptoms that were definitely possible cancer ones. So it really doesn't sound as if bowel cancer is a likely explanation, especially as you would be very young for it.

I got myself so worked up last Summer from anxiety that I experienced similar symptoms - acid build-up whenever I ate, which caused immediate belching  trapped wind which (Sorry- smelt horrific!) the weirdest tummy rumbles I have ever heard, which appeared to be worse at night, tummy pains, body aches. I was comstipated to begin with, they then went thin and on one occasion was yellow and slimy! I was prescribed omeprazole for the acid and when that started doing its job, it became one less thing to worry about and I eventually calmed down. I had an ultrasound on my abdomen and nothing untoward was found, so I had a massive IBS flare up caused initially by my fluctuating hormones. I hope some of that helps you in some way!

So update had consultation this morning. Going for further blood tests Wednesday at the hospital and a colonoscopy on Monday. 

Thanks so much for thinking of me. Have colonoscopy and endoscopy in 2 weeks. 
panicking tonight as noticed lots of mucus with my bowel movement tonight. Like loads mixed in. 
im terrified now that it's bowel cancer. Have back and rectal pain too.
