Swollen lymph glands

So back in april I was referred to haematology for swollen glands in my neck. They found that it was nothing to worry about so was discharged. Over summer I now have more swollen glands in the back of my neck, armpits and groin. I also think the one in my groin is causing me a lot of hip pain. After going back to the doctors over Christmas I was sent for some bloods. Most were okay but my lactate dehydrogenase was up and so the doctors are referring me back to haematology where I have an appointment next week. Before the doctor seemed to be like if there's nothing in your bloods we won't worry about it but now I've had an urgent 2 weeks referral back to haematology. Does anyone have something similar or have had their lactate dehydrogenase up? I don't know what it means or how significant it is. I also do get really tired and I think I'm having night sweats as I've started getting really hot at night.

  • Hi Robyn123,

I'm sure the urgent referral has brought with it some worry and further uncertainty, but it should at least mean you get some answers fairly quickly. Do use your appointment this week as an opportunity to talk through any questions or concerns you have.

I hope that it all goes OK this week and that it's not too long to wait to get the information you need.

    Wishing you all the best,
