Was referred To fRed results timing

I was referred 7 days ago to fRed for ongoing symptoms of chest infection for 10 weeks not covid . went today for x ray and ct scan how soon can i expect results as xray department told me make appointment next week to see doctor is this normal or has the scans shown something

Hello callacher and welcome to our forum,
Our page on X-Rays mentions that it normally takes 1-2 weeks to get your results and similarly our information on the CT scan highlights that you should also get your results within 1-2 weeks. So don't read anything into the fact that the X-Ray department told you to make an appointment for next week to see the doctor. It may just be the standard procedure. Make sure you book that important appointment next week and I am keeping everything crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing of concern!

Thank you for you kind response i received results today and thankfully not cancer but at the same time have now been diagnosed with emphysema / copd i m 47 so i will losten and follow all advice given and hopefully stop this disease progressing :-)
