Hard bump at the back of my ear

Hello.

I have a hard bump at the back of my ear, It is inside my ear if that makes sense. Near the antihelix perhaps? But at the back.

There is no pain in the bump. It has been here for several months now but stupid me decided to ignore. Sometimes when I put my finger on it and rub up and down I can hear cracks that come with pain.

I sometimes get a bit dizzy. And also, sometimes things are too loud and sometimes they are very quite.

I also get a feeling/ sound in my ear, which I have been waiting over three months for a referal. (Only for the sound symptopm though, not fo the bump.)

Is it a tumour? Is this something I should push for and get an appointment?? Please help!

  • Welcome to the forum Marsaria although I'm sorry for the worry this bump is causing.

Unfortunately no-one here will be able to tell you what this is but your doctor can so do be sure to book an appointment with them when you can. Hopefully it won't be any cause for concern but it's always best to get any unusual or persisting symptoms looked at, if only for peace of mind.

Hopefully some of our members will offer their thoughts and advice to you soon but in the meantime we'll have our fingers crossed the bump isn't anything sinister.

    Kind regards,

  • Thank you for the nice welcome :)

I'm just mainly trying to see if anyone else has had such symptopms.
