Hello
Just before Christmas I felt a large lump in my left breast. I haven't felt it before but have been losing weight so think this made it more prominent. I was finally able to get in to the doctors yesterday, who said she was sending a fast track referral to the breast clinic. The lump is approx 4cm wide, very hard, irregular shape, is deep in my breast and doesn't move. She said I also have enlarged lymph nodes in my collar bone and arm pit on the same side.
My doctor said I should get an appointment in 2 weeks but told me to give them a ring this morning to see if I can get in as soon as possible. I did but they said due to staff shortages (covid) I probably won't get an appointment for 3 to 4 weeks!
I was ok waiting for a doctors appointment, but now I'm panicking. Not sure if it's just reality hitting me or my doctors urgency scaring me. To wait up to 4 weeks is going to be so difficult.
Can I ask what other peoples lumps felt like before diagnosis.
Sorry for the long post
