Lump in breast, bacterial infection and chest pain!

Hi can anyone tell me if they have experienced anything similar.

About 6 weeks ago I started getting chest pain on my left side above my breast. This was diagnosed as reflux even though I was dubious, 2 weeks after that I started getting pain in my left breast and nipple and my armpit was sore. I would feel my lymph node was slightly enlarged. The pain become worse and the node became larger, I went back to the the gp who took bloods and discovered I had a bacterial infection.

2 days after that I found a lump in my breast and so far I don't think the antibiotics are taking affect as I still feel unwell! The lump is smooth, oblong, about 1-2cm and moves around underneath my fingers. It's also painless.

im seeing the gp on Wednesday, has anyone been in a similar situation. I'm making myself sick with worry, and I alsresdy feel unwell!

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some problems with an infection in your breast. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious and it's good to hear that you have a follow-up appointment arranged with your GP tomorrow.

I hope that the GP is able to give you some reassurance about things and that the antibiotics help to improve things for you soon.

    Best wishes,
