Colonoscopy pictures and biopsies

Hi everyone, today I had my colonoscopy which I'm so happy it's finally over. The doctor said all looks clear and on the report it says every section was normal. However, multiple biopsies and picture were taken and I was informed I would hear back within 3 weeks. Does anyone know why they would take biopsies if everything was normal? Thanks everyone!

    That's great news and it's good to hear the doctor was happy. It sounds like the biopsies may have been a precaution, and if so then they are perhaps simply being thorough which of course is good for you. I hope that the results from these come back soon as I appreciate it still creates a bit of extra uncertainty.

    Meanwhile if others here have had a similar experience to yourself then hopefully they'll be along soon.
