Hi,
I'm new here, found this forum after worrying myself sick thanks to Dr Google
I had a tiny white lump on the inner edge of my left breast that developed during the height of the pandemic. I thought nothing of it as it was so small, didn't hurt and didn't want to bother doctors with the extra strain they were under due to the pandemic.
On Tuesday I noticed the tiny white lump was gone but there is a hard, quite big solid lump beneath the skin where it was and the skin underneath the lump is kind of puckered up.
I saw my GP on Wednesday, she said it could be an infection and prescribed antibiotics however she told me if there was no improvement by Friday to go to A&E. On Friday I went to A&E, I was examined by 2 doctors there then referred to SCDU. The doctor at SCDU examined me and arranged for me to go to the breast clinic this Tuesday 4th Jan.
Obviously my mind is working overtime, I'm 37, I've lost over a stone and half since August without trying (put it down to a change in mental health medication), I've also been tired a lot more than usual the last 3 to 4 months but put this down to being able to return to work now restrictions have eased.
I know statistically it's likely to be a cyst or something benign, I also know Tuesday is not a long time to wait, but I can't help fearing the worst.
Not really sure what I hope to gain from posting, I think I just need to let out my thoughts to people who have or are experiencing similar.
