Worried about Lymphoma.

Hi, I discovered a hard pea sized lump in my left armpit, I had an ultrasound and was told I had normal reactive lymph nodes, this was back in May 21, but was advised to return should it get bigger or not go.
it's now December and it's still the same. I have kept a check on it and it has never gone.

Should I still be concerned? I have drenching night sweats for some time along with tiredness and itchy skin particularly my legs which is often worse at night.  As I am 42 the sweats have been put down to Peri-menopause although I am not now convinced. I haven't lost weight in fact I have gained a little and have regular upset tummies which I put down to my IBS.

I have unexplained low kidney function (gfr between 50-60) and am under the care of a nephrologist.

I understand I am probably over anxious, but wondered if I should push for a biopsy?

Has anyone else experienced the same?

  • Hi Tmom,

I can understand it is always unsettling when there are unexplained symptoms - although it's good to hear they weren't concerned when it was checked in May. If they said to return should it get bigger or not go, then perhaps the best thing is to speak to the doctor again as it remains the same. That will be the best way to get the answers and hopefully reassurance you need. You can also ask about the biopsy at this point, to see what they think.

    Wishing you all the best,
