My story so far - had bleeding from the nipple. Went to breast clinic they found a lump near my nipple. Consultant says poss intraductal papilloma, poss malignancy. Mammogram, ultrasound and needle biopsy all 'equivocal/inconclusive'. Also had a contrast MRI (what a horrific experience!) No results yet from that. Booked for excision biopsy and milk duct removal next Friday (regardless of MRI results). Its all happened so quickly. Baffles me they they cannot tell me either way yet in spite of all the tests. Scared about the op, cautiously optimistic that it's benign, but also having nagging thoughts that this chain of events is going too quickly and perhaps signals something worse. Anyone been through this and have any thoughts/stories to share with me?
