Prostate Cancer initial Symptoms? Bladder problems

Hi guys,

I'm extremely worried about my current UTI. Whilst statistically I am a very low risk of Prostate cancer,36,white and no family history.  Currently I have a UTI that I've had for a week that isn't clearing.

I have pain in my Abdomen,more of a dull constant ache. And my balls/penis feel tender,like someone has kicked me in the balls. Keep going for a wee. It's horrible,and I'm freaking out. I'm in and out of A&E,I'm currently here now to change my medication as they gave me Trimethoprim. Which usually doesnt work.

Has anyone else every had this? I've read that most people don't even know they have Prostate cancer as shows no symptoms.

    I'm sorry to hear that you have another UTI. I know from your previous posts that this has been a long-standing issue for you and that you've struggled with anxiety surrounding your bowel, bladder, and prostate for some time now. 

    You mention in previous posts that you've had multiple investigations which have never given any cause for concern to the clinicians and I'm sad to hear that you've been unable to take any reassurance from that. 

    It's understandable that whilst you're living with health conditions that impact your daily life that you may feel worried and anxious. Unfortunately, this kind of anxiety can often impact those conditions making them worse. 

    You don't mention in any of your posts if you've had support from your GP to help you better manage your stress and anxiety and if not I'd really encourage you to speak to your GP about this in the new year. You might find it helpful to have a look at the NHS website info t give you some tips and hints that may help in the meantime. 

    I do hope that this current UTI clears up soon and that the Dr's responsible for your care are able to help improve your situation.
