2WW - guilty about parents driving all the way

Im 25 F with a neck lump up for 4 weeks now. It feels hard and is over 4cm and has begun to ache. I have had the date for my 2ww through and mum and dad have said they will drive all the way back to uni (150miles each way) to take me (hospital close to uni rather than home). I feel awful because it could be a 300 mile trip for a aggy node but I just wanted to see what people thought. I think it has grown on the verticle axis too but I've had no other symptoms bar a sore back (normal) and tiredness.

  • Hello beebumble22

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some health concerns at the moment and that you're waiting on an appointment at the hospital.

As a parent, I can absolutely understand why your Mum and Dad have said they will drive you to your appointment. They would much rather make sure they are if you need them than leave you to travel to this appointment on your own.

Hopefully this enlarged node you have is nothing to be concerned about and the clinical team will be able to give you all some reassurance before you head home again.

Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
