Hi John, my husband has stage 4 lung cancer diagnosed 2017, the chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy have now caused mds which is a form of  chemo induced leukaemia.  I learned from the beginning that no matter how much you worry or stress the outcome will always be the same.  So all the worry in the world and it could be no you don't have cancer or all the worry in the world and yes there is something wrong.  So live each day in the present and not the future, too many health anxiety forum users will encourage you to fear the worst, think positively as if there is something wrong, God forbid, this is the only way to deal with it.  I hope all is clear and that you get through this anxious time hoping for the best outcome  for you all.  Best wishes for a better New year.  Carol 

Hi John, when I was referred for similar symptoms about 7 years ago, in my late 30s I was diagnosed with Eosinophilic Oesophagitis. It's exacerbated by acid reflux and so I control that and feel a lot better, occasionally i take steroids. I know it's easy to focus on the worst-case scenarios, but there can be many other causes of the same symptoms.
