Ultrasound results

Hii, I know my mind is going crazy now and I need some reassurance and other people's experience, I found out a few years ago through a ultrasound that I have polycyctic ovaries. No issues until beginning of November this year. Since then I've had severe cramps, constant pain, bowel habits are alot more frequent and only eating one tiny meal a day due to the pain. Mebeverin (if that's spelt right) doesn't touch it. I went to the drs end of November, they sent me for a ultrasound which was over the stomach and internal, she didn't mention anything at all. Asked if left side was worse and left it at that. She said results needed to be analysed and would be back with the gp in 1-2 weeks but may take longer due to  Xmas. That was Monday, today is Tuesday and I got a text to say to ring the drs for a appointment to discuss recent scan. Is this something that I need to be worried about and is it linked to the polycyctic ovaries? Would for whatever reason the results be back this quick if everything was alright?

  • Hello Sharla

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some health problems. it's understandable that you've been feeling concerned about things.

I hope that by now you've been able to speak with your GP and that the information found on the scan has given you some answers and reassurance.

Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi, I managed to get a phone consultation yesterday, the US showed a large cyst on my left ovary. I had blood tests done yesterday and waiting for a urgent referral to gynecology. I'm glad I will be getting answers to all of this, just really wanting all of the pain and discomfort to go away and to be able to eat.
