Dry skin on areola

Hi

I have recently started to experience dry skin around one areolar, a little itchy but nothing major no real skin colour change and I am just a bit nervous as to why it's only happening on one breast. Has anyone experienced this?

  • Hello Parkersmum and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry for the worry this is causing. Do keep an eye on it and if it doesn't improve, or gets worse, then it would be best to book an appointment with your GP as they will be able to let you know if this is any cause for concern.

Hopefully this won't be the case but it's always good, especially for peace of mind, to get any unusual or persistent symptoms checked out.

I'm sure I've come across a few discussions about this issue before so I'm sure some of our members who have contended with this or something similar will be along soon to offer their thoughts and advice.

Fingers crossed this will resolve on it's own Parkersmum.

    All the best,
